Afternoon. Please fill out a ‘criminal consultant request form’ and wait in the seats until your name is c-….

What am I saying? I’m speaking to Moran and two…animals?

What could you all possibly want?

“Oh I’m just walking around. Who are you?”

A talking cat…of course. I shouldn’t be surprised, really.

Jim Moriarty. Who exactly are you?

Jim stares down at the…creature. Certainly unlike any animal he’d ever seen.

“…Is that a dog? No…perhaps a cat?” He looks around “Where on earth is it’s owner?”

The glaceon stares at the man before speaking up.

“I-I’m a glaceon and I don’t have an owner…”

“…You’re a what?” Jim deadpans, squatting down closer to inspect it. “You talk?”

Evening.

I’m absolutely starving for once. Who wants to come by and make me dinner~?

Perhaps we can go on a bit of a hunt and then bring back our kill…wouldn’t that be fun?

Any volunteers?

“Oh? Unfortunately I probably haven’t. There has been a lot of cases lately and no time for me to enjoy the theater. I was an acting major before I changed majors in college, you know.”

“Well I mostly work on my childrens show now.” Jim looks flustered. “Telling childrens stories to all those sweet little kids out there, you know?”

He smiles. “Is that so? What made you change majors, if I might ask?”

“My mother’s murder.” She said it bluntly, because there was no point in beating around the bush.

“Oh.” Jim’s eyes cloud over with false sympathy. “I’m so sorry, Detective. I didn’t mean to pry…”

She walked down to the end to wait for her drink, looking over to him as he spoke. “It can be interesting. It’s a lot of hard word and dedication. Using your brain and your gut, you pin them down and nail them. A lot of what we do is paperwork. It leads to irregularities which lead us to clues. The odd sock.”

“Sounds nice.” Jim averts his gaze and nods, sipping at his coffee. He winced at the heat, screwing up his nose. “What’s it like working with Mr. Castle? Is it crazy as the papers make it out to be?”

“There are papers talking about it? Great… And he just gets annoying with his theories. He has all these ideas and has no hard facts to back them up.”

“Well he is a story teller after all.” Jim says with a small grin. “I’m a story teller myself, actually. But I doubt you’ve heard of me. Only known in London, really. A small time actor, is all I am.”

Jim smirked. “I’m simply saying your acting is impeccable, mother. That, or you’re good at disguising pride as something else…”

“This is the first time we’ve properly conversed, my dear.” she retorted defensively. “Any feelings I may have construed beforehand were confused - it was the boy I was speaking to”

“Hm.

Of course.”

Jim frowns. “You must forgive me. Everything blurs together in that dark black hole that is the boys mind. Sometimes I forgot myself…life was very hard being trapped in there.”
